Luella was a calming influence on everyone at Dawson Metal for the many years she held court at the company. We could always count on Luella's constant appropriate keen insight on just how to handle situations. We have missed her since the day she left for retirement.

Y'all's Mom was a beautiful lady with a infectious smile and most of all the heart of Jesus. We will miss her hug this summer at worship. May God bless y'all in this time of saddness but remember that in Jesus this is only for a little while.

I became acquainted with Luella through work. Her children and mine played Hockey while her husband Norm coached. Luella was one of the sweetest ladies I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. She worked hard at whatever she was doing. She took her jobs very seriously and her employers were very satisfied to have her as an employee. She was what you called a "true" friend. You could tell her anything and she respected your privacy. She was a strong woman who could bounce back from situations because of her strong Faith. Above all,she was a caring Mother and Grandmother who put her family first. I shall always have fond memories of Luella. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family during this difficult time.

All of the Lairds are greatly saddened by Luella's passing. She was a wonderful neighbor and great friend to our parents Jack and Ina. Like my brother Bob, I have many fond memories of playing football and baseball in the Nelsen's yard. Luella was always very kind to us kids. She never said a cross word. In later years, I was always impressed by her grace and quiet dignity. She was a special person and will be sorely missed.

The pain of losing someone you love is something that we will never get use to because God's Word refers to death as 'the last enemy.' May your family find comfort as I have in knowing that our loving heavenly Father promises us that very soon he will bring our enemy 'to nothing.' (1Corinthians 15:26) What a wonderful day that will be!

So many wonderful memories of the time I spent with you. You were my second mother for almost 15 years and a wonderful Grandmother to my children. Nicholas and Brian could always count on Grandma LuLu there to watch their hockey games. And I can remember Diane eating her jello and cool whip at your house. Sunday dinners at your house were always a treat. And as someone else has stated never a complaint out of you, you were the kindest, mild mannered person I have ever known. You will be sadly missed by all those whose lives you have touched. I imagine Norm has missed you and it is now time for him to be with you again. May you Rest in Peace Dear Luella.

Luella had a big heart, a broad smile, and a joyful laugh. She was always a wonderful neighbor and dear friend to my parents. I was one of the kids who spent countless hours playing ball in her yard, and it did not go unnoticed by me that Luella never complained about all that ball playing. I believe that she had a true appreciation for the fact that all the joy and laughter and hours of fun taking place in her front yard were generating memories that would last a life time. Memories that far out lived a few spots of dead grass around home plate and pitchers mound. Tonight Luella, the smile on my face and the pain in my heart are for you. Thank you for the memories. God's blessings are truly powerful.
