Obituary of Theodore G. Wallen

Theodore Gunnard Wallen, 74, of 1755 Orr Street, went to be with his Lord on Friday march 9, 2012, in WCA Hospital. A Jamestown native, he was born September 16, 1937, the son of the late Gunnard and Constance Pedersen Wallen. He was a 1955 graduate of Jamestown High School and served in the Naval Reserve. He owned and operated Jamestown Appliance Parts for many years. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, was co-founder of Southern Tier Classic Chevy Club and was affiliated with many other car clubs. Aside from restoring classic cars he enjoyed working in the yard and listening to country and bluegrass music. Surviving are two children Michael Wallen of Jamestown and Michelle Wallen of Hammondsport, NY. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Beverly Wallen and a beloved aunt Elsa Hearberg. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Lind Funeral Home. Rev. James Read will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received from 4-7 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
