Obituary of Doris M Frangione
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, sister and grandmother.
Doris May Frangione,75, of 1476 Trask Rd, Sugar Grove, PA passed away at 1:50 a.m. Saturday (March 17, 2012) in her home following a brief illness and surrounded by her loving family.
A Sugar Grove, PA resident since 1966, she was born May 6, 1936 in Kane, PA a daughter of the late Melvin and Gertrude Smith Hagg.
She was a graduate of the Northern Area Joint High School, Sugar Grove, PA and prior to her retirement in 1981 was employed by the Frewsburg Plastic Case Company. In earlier years she had worked at the former National Worsted Mills.
Doris embraced life and lived each day to its fullest. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She loved to take her grandchildren to the strawberry fields and pick strawberries to make homemade jelly. Doris also had a love for sharing her delicious Italian recipes as well as her baking secrets. She passed on to her grandchildren her baking skills, and her ability to make their favorite Italian Easter cookie, Casupas. She will be sorely missed by her family, who will forever think of her as their Guardian Angel. Doris will be remembered and admired by all who had the good fortune to know her, as a woman with a clam, soft-spoken demeanor, a quiet sense of humor and most importantly, her kind and giving heart. Doris touched the lives of so many people during her time here on earth, and she did so modestly.
