I also served on the RK Turner with Tom. I remember Tom as a fine technician and an even better shipmate. He always seemed to research our upcoming ports of call and could be relied upon to share this info when asked. A great poker player as well. He also took his responsibility for the onboard CCTV system very seriously and countless hours of enjoyment for the crew. Mike LaPan

Thomas was a great guy. I had the privilege of working with Tom in OE and E division aboard the USS Richmond K. Turner DLG-20. I first
met Tom in the Great Lakes Naval Training Center in North Chicago, Illinois and had a few nice discussions a we shared our meals . When
we met aboard ship he tested my patience at times, but I forgave him, as I know he forgave me for my antics. Overall he was a very nice
person, who was very truthful and honest, and a very responsible and very good worker. He had your back as a shipmate.
I thought of him often, but I am sorry I never bothered to communicate while I had the chance. May he rest in peace!

Tom and I were in the first band I ever played in. He was a great drummer then and we were a good band for 8th graders! Tom was an eternal optimist and I enjoyed those practices in everyone's basement. RIP Tom, you are missed by many.

I remember Tom fondly. I lived one street away from him. I remember in grade school his voice changed earlier than the other boys and you could hear him clearly in music class. (I had a secret crush on him in the 5th grade!) Go with God, Tom. I know there are many people who will miss you dearly.

Cheryl, I was saddened to learn of your loss. When I returned to JCC has a non traditional student in 2000, you were a kind and friendly face in the library. Later, when I became employed at JCC's Counseling Center, I had many chats with Tom about our mutual love of plants. When I moved to Seattle in 2009, Tom drove to my home in Panama to pick up a very large Boston Fern that he continued to care for at JCC. My deepest sympathies to you, Cheryl.

Miss you already Tom....lunch & breaktime will never be the same... Wish we really would've recorded our version of Seinfeld in the breakroom. We had so much fun with the lunch gang, and you were the #1 storyteller. Your memory will live on, until we meet again dear sir....
