Obituary of Steven B. Pratt

Steven B. Pratt, 54, of 1132 Prendergast Ave. Jamestown, died unexpectedly Wednesday April 11, 2012 in WCA Hospital. He was born August 17, 1957 in Jamestown the son of Shirley Coleman Mesler and the late Walter Pratt. Steve was a 1977 graduate of Southwestern Central High School. He was an outdoorsman who loved nature, hunting, fishing, and taxidermy. He also enjoyed music, playing guitar, and painting and detailing cars. Surviving are his mother of Ashville; his fianc of 11 years, Darlene Peru; a daughter, Samantha Pratt of AZ; five stepchildren, Chris Buvoltz, Mike Buvoltz, Stephanie Brown, all of Randolph; Audra Rowin, John Rowin, both of Jamestown; several step grandchildren; two sisters, Debora Pike (John) of Lakewood; Kelly Mesler of Celoron; a brother, Mark Pratt of Ashville; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Hunter. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his step father, Gilbert Mesler. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in the Lind Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends for two hours prior to the service Monday in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family.
