Obituary of Mary Jean Baska

Mary Jean Baska, 84, of the Lutheran Home and Rehabilitation Center, died Sunday April 15, 2012 in the Center. A Jamestown resident since 1950, she was born September 19, 1927 in Sunman, IN the daughter of the late Frank E. and Elizabeth Gross Galbraith. Mary Jean was a 1945 graduate of Sunman High School. She was a member of the Thule Lodge, Marvin Community House, and the Westminster Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her daughter, Susan (Robert) Belu of Lorain, OH; and her granddaughter, Elizabeth Belu (fianc Eric Sartor) of Denver, CO. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice W. Baska whom she married April 8, 1950 and who died February 25, 2007; and her grandson, George Belu. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Rev. Tim Phelps, Hospice Chaplain will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Visitation will not be observed.
