Obituary of Ida-Grace L. Parsons

Ida-Grace L. Parsons, 93, formerly of 1904 Shadyside Road, Lakewood, died Sunday April 15, 2012, in The Friendly Home, Rochester, NY. A Jamestown area native, she was born October 7, 1918, the daughter of Bert and Minnie Swanson Lawson. She was a 1937 graduate of Jamestown High School. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Moonbrook Country Club, Norden Women's Club and Marvin Community House where she had served as a board member. She had been a volunteer at the gift shop of WCA Hospital. Surviving are three daughters Karen (the late Ronald) Wojda of Penfield, NY, Kathleen (John) Gutowski of Chili Center, NY and Kim (Richard) Wisotzke of Fairport, NY, 8 grandchildren, Kevin (Corinne Colgan) Wojda, Leah Wojda, Kirsten and Kyle Gutowski, Kara (Kevin) Gladstone, Jeffrey, Rick and Jill Wisotzke and 3 great grandchildren, Riley and Jack Wojda and Casey Gladstone. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband N. Gordon Parsons, who she married May 30, 1941 and who died February 27, 2008. The funeral will be held at noon Saturday in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 825 Forest Avenue, Jamestown. Rev. Alison L. Leitzel will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
