Obituary of Anna C. Ahlstrom

Anna C. Ahlstrom, 96, of Marian Hall Home, Pittsburgh, PA, formerly of 327 Howard Avenue, West Ellicott, died Monday April 16, 2012, in Vincentian Home, Pittsburgh. She was born July 25, 1915, in Ljusne, Sweden, the daughter of Ivan Lars and Marie Persson Soderberg. Coming to the United States in 1920, she graduated from Jamestown High School in 1934. In 1942 she and her husband moved to Corry, PA, returning to live in the Jamestown area in 1979. While in Jamestown she was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Thule Lodge and Swedish Society. She lived in Pittsburgh since 2007. Surviving are a daughter Diane (Stephen) Reeve of Pittsburgh and two granddaughters Elizabeth Reeve of Williamsburg, VA and Amanda Reeve of Perkasie, PA. She was preceded in death by her husband J. Allan Ahlstrom, whom she married December 25, 1940 and who died November 21, 2000 and a brother Algot Soderberg in 1988. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home. Rev. Alison L. Leitzel will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
