I never actually met "Ma," but I an very good friends with her son, Lubby. She must have been quite a woman, because her son is a true testament to what being a decent man is all about, so thank you, "Ma." Pleasant journey.

Marrying into a wonderful family is always a good thing. When that family includes Arlene, that's a GREAT thing! Arlene was one of the strongest, most generous human beings I've ever known. She will be missed, and thought of with much love by me, and my family.

I first met Arlene at LSS while visting with my mother. I wish they had been on the same floor I think they would have been great friends. I took my Mother to do crafts and we always found Arlene, she always had a big smile for us, and then they would sit and do crafts together. Sadly my Mother is no longer with us. May they both RIP

Farewell, Arlene,
As the poet Wordworth wrote after the death of his six year old son, "You are now like the wind; we cannot see you, but, we will always feel you."
I remember you from Lakewood High School days. You were a gentle, genuine, caring, friendly and warm hearted person then, and, I know from having talked to you from time to time through the years, you never changed.
My wife Mary and I were so impressed with the fact that you supported the local high school and college musicals and plays, with your work as a volunteer at the Salvation Army, Roger Tory Peterson Institute and Busti Historical Society and your recognition as a 'Volunteer of the Year' for the United Way.
Many folks will miss you. We feel richer because you crossed the path of our lives.
God should have created more like you.

Arlene was a great aunt, mom (Steve's proof of that), sister-in-law to my mom, and an instant friend to anyone fortunate enough to have met her. It has been awhile since seeing her but her smile will stay with me always - it was contagious. Memories will help the healing -

I worked with Arlene in Marine Midland Bank back in the 60's, I was right out of high school. I have not seen her since then but when I saw that she had passed I had to write. I can remember her smile and she was such a big help to me as I started my working career. She was a wonderful person and faithful follower of God.
You will be missed.

Sorry to hear of your mother passing on Lubby. I first met Arlene with my mother at the old A&P grocery store on 3rd St when she was cashier with Mary Beers. Didn't meet you until much later on. Glad we could perform music for such a long time. She was always cordial to me and kindly relayed messages to me for the band when they called.
May her memory be eternal!
