Obituary of F. Elaine LeRoy

F. Elaine LeRoy, 87, formerly of McKinley Avenue and Bradmar Circle, died at 10:55 p.m. Tuesday (April 24, 2012) in the Lutheran Home and Rehabilitation Center. She was born May 24, 1924 in Corry, PA the daughter of the late Richard Patton and Florence Raymond Patton Watson. Elaine attended Jamestown Public Schools and was an Election Inspector for many years. She was a lifelong member of Kidder Memorial United Methodist Church, and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, baking Christmas cookies, and traveling with her husband. While living at the Lutheran Home, she enjoyed walking. Spending time with her family was most important to her. Surviving are two sons, Daniel V. (Lynn) LeRoy of Jamestown; Ronnie M. (Carol) LeRoy of Elbridge, NY; a daughter, Dorene D. (Ron) Camarata of Kennedy, NY; ten grandchildren, Todd (Vickie) LeRoy, Tammy (Mike) Tomlinson, Tanya Wiles, Justin Martin, all of Jamestown; Eric LeRoy, TeriAnne (Mark) Werner, both of Rochester, NY; Scott (Judy) LeRoy of Columbus, OH; Tracy (Jeff) Lang of Kennedy; Thad (Melenie) LeRoy of Auburn, NY; Adam LeRoy of Norfolk, VA; 18 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; a sister in law, Norma Watson of North Syracuse, NY; her best friend, Clara Anderson of Clearwater, FL; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Edison "Ed" C. LeRoy Jr. whom she married December 4, 1942 and who died November 16, 2004; her parents, her stepfather, Edwin Watson; a grandson, Matthew LeRoy; two brothers, Edwin D. Watson, Robert Watson; and a sister, Mildred Swanson. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Rick LaDue will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday and for one hour prior to the service Friday in the funeral home.
