Obituary of Julie A. Wahlstrom

Julie A. Wahlstrom, 53, of 1957 Camp St. Ext. passed away unexpectedly at 1:55 p.m. Thursday (May 3, 2012) in her home following a courageous battle with cancer. A lifelong area resident she was born April 3, 1959 in Jamestown, NY a daughter of Norma G. Foster Bailey and the late Gary F. Gould. She was a 1977 graduate of Jamestown High School and was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous of which she was very proud of her achievements with her group. She had been employed as a legal secretary for the law office of Arthur N. Bailey and Associates for over 25 years. She will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother who loved riding her motorcycle and going fishing. She also had a deep love for animals, especially for her dog's and cat's who were wonderful companions for her. Surviving are her mother Norma G. Bailey and her step-father Clifton E. Bailey of Jamestown, her husband David A. Wahlstrom whom she married July 26, 1996, her three children; Timothy L. (Casey) Eklund of Fentonville, Travis B. (Colleen Taylor) Eklund of Celoron, LeighAnn N. (Brandon Rowley) Eklund of Kennedy, two grandchildren Kaitlyn and Lily Eklund of Fentonville, a brother Timothy Bailey of New York City, two sisters Linda Gagliano of Jamestown, Denise Bailey of Buffalo, and three nephews Scott Gould, Jr., Mark Gould, Daniel Gould all of Jamestown. She was preceded in death by her father Gary F. Gould who died October 5, 1987 and two brothers Scott C. Gould who died May 31, 2008, Gary Gould who died April 21, 2011. The funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday in the Lind Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Allen Cemetery. Friends will be received from 3-5 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
