Obituary of Barbara M. Lucian

Barbara M. Lucian (Luciano), 88, of 17 Crystal Ave. in Lakewood, died Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at the Lutheran Home & Rehabilitation Center. She was born November 2, 1923 in Aberystwyth, Wales, a daughter of the late Edward and Blanche Rogers McDonald. Barbara was a registered nurse and had worked in Erie, PA prior to her employment here at the former Jamestown General Hospital. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lakewood and also volunteered at the Lakewood Memorial Library. Surviving is a sister, Rosemarie Thomas of Dana Point, CA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas M. Luciano who died May 8, 1971. A Memorial Mass will be held at 9:00 a.m. Thursday, May 10 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Msgr. Joseph M. Dowdell will officiate. Visitation will not be observed. Burial took place in Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Lakewood Memorial Library, 12 W. Summit Ave. Lakewood, NY 14750; or to Sacred Heart Church, 380 E.
