Obituary of James R. Anderson, Sr.

James R. Anderson, 59, of 21 Birch Road, Kennedy, died Thursday May 17, 2012, in Nashville, TN. He was born March 11, 1953, a son of the late James A. and Geraldine Robinson Anderson. He was a 1972 graduate of Greater Latrobe High School. He served in the National Guard for 23 years. He had been employed by Dowcraft as a skilled assembler. His memberships include Sheet Metal Workers' Local 112 and Jamestown Moose Club. He enjoyed outdoor activities especially hunting and fishing. Loved spending time with his family, working on cars, shopping and going to auctions. He will be greatly missed by his dog Shelby. Surviving are his wife the former Nancy LaMarca, whom he married June 8, 1985; three children Amy Anderson of Jamestown, Tammy Patterson of Kennedy and James R. Anderson, Jr. of Greensburg, PA; four grandchildren; a great grandson; his step mother Dolly Anderson of Latrobe, PA; four brothers Raymond Anderson of Texas, Joseph Anderson of Pleasant Unity, PA, Bruce Anderson of Texas and John Anderson of Greensburg, PA and two sisters Beverly Weinwright of Donegal, PA and Brenda Shaffer of Latrobe, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Lind Funeral Home. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
