Obituary of Betty B. Hodges

Betty B. Hodges, 86, formerly of 52 Allendale Avenue, Jamestown, died Sunday May 20, 2012, in Taylor Health Center, Hammondsport. She was born January 16, 1926, in Franklinville, NY, a daughter of the late Burt and Genevieve Washburn Bennett. She was a graduate of Franklinville Central School, Buffalo General Hospital Nursing School. She was employed as a registered nurse by Jamestown General Hospital While living in Jamestown she was a member of Zion Covenant Church. Surviving are 2 sons Robert (Linda) Hodges of River Grove, Illinois and David (Tammy) Hodges of Prattsburgh, NY; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a brother Jim (Linda) Bennett of Franklinville New York, a sister Isabel Bennett Wager of Holley, New York and sister in law Doris Bennett of Hinsdale, New York. She was preceded in death by her husband H. Donald Hodges, whom she married April 16, 1949 and who died January 4, 2006, a brother Cliff Bennett and a sister Janice Ghent. The funeral will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2-5 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
