Mary will be sadly missed. I got to know Mary from working at Heritage Park. She was a remarkable woman. I always enjoyed talking to her. She really was an inspiration to me and I will never forget her. God Bless

Judy, Jan and Jim: Sorry to hear of you Mother's passing. How do you pay tribute to someone who led such an exemplary life? She deserves the title of 'Mrs Lakewood" if anyone does. We will miss hearing her on the Saturday Breakfast Party every year.

I was saddened to learn of the passing of my dear friend Mary. She made many friends here at the park, and she always loved coming to bingo, executive council, and many other activities. She loved using blue chips while playing bingo, which she felt brought her luck, and it did. The residents and staff will miss Mary very much.

Jim, Janice, and Judy--I was so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. I remember her as a special lady, always with a smile on her face. It's so sad to think of all the "old" neighbors from our childhoods gone. Wasn't it a great neighborhood, though? May God's Eternal Light Shine Upon Her!

Cousin Judy--My thoughts and prayers are with you, Bill, and the rest of your family during this sad time. Your mother was a very special lady and I always respected and admired her. The word "gutsy" comes to mind! Autie and Aunt Kay truly valued and were grateful for her friendship--she was really more than a friend to them, she was family. I know she worried a lot about Autie's health/condition during the end times of Autie's life in Jamestown. Regretfully, I will be out of town this weekend. I am so sorry to miss seeing you...hopefully one of these days we can catch up. Love to you. Pam

It is so sad to hear of your mothers passing. She was a lovely lady and worked hard to raise her family after your father's early passing.
I recall she once got a "speeding" ticket from our town cop Max Emkie (sp?) for going 27 mph in a 25 mph zone. Max never gave tickets for going over 30 because he wouldn't drive that fast. If he made it to where your mother surely is now, he is getting an earfull about that ticket!
I hope this finds you all well.
Warm regards,
Denis

I am amazed when I hear of the lovely ladies of my childhood living such long lives. They are part of our legacy and my memories of your mom are ones that take me back to review what a great place Lakewood was to grow up. She was a part of the fabric of the community and I for one remember her cute little looks as she patiently waited on me when I was shopping in the village for my mom. Oh the stories she had! We were lucky to have our moms for so long. May you share some of your stories with your family and have a few smiles recalling those days. Sincerely, Pam.
