Jon,
I didn't know you very well, but we went to school together. It is hard to understand why someone so young and full of life had to leave so quickly, but I know you will be missed by those you left behind. I know that you were a great athlete, you were full of joy, and a great friend. May your rest be peaceful, my friend.

Dear Myrna,Candy, Alba, Ed, Priscilla and Laurie,
I was absolutely heartbroken to hear the news of Jonathan's death. The loss of any loved one, but especially a young person as talented, kind, and promising as he seems to have been makes it all the more tragic. I am so very sorry for your loss. I truly wish that I had had the chance to meet him, he sounds wonderful. I hope that how he lived his life will bring you comfort, as you can see from all the comments that he lived his life well and touched a lot of lives in his short time here. My condolences to all of you, the rest of the Miller family and to all his friends out there. May God bring us all comfort and may we strive to live our own lives as Jonatahn did and savor each moment. God Bless.

Dear Myrna,
I intended to come to the funeral hours but the date slipped right by me.
Though I didn't know Jonathon ...I knew Jason (quite a while ago) ...and you, my dear friend.
I pray that the things that you enjoyed together and that are so painful right now...that soon you will begin to feel a soft warm glow as you remember.
How great that we know The Lord because He certainly bears our burdens with us.
My heart goes out to you, my friend and you will be in my prayers.
Hopefully in the future we can get together.
Always loved you as a sister in Christ and still do. May the burden be lightened and may you fell the precious presence of Our Lord very close. God Bless;
and Love, Kathy Lawson

You have impacted so many lives just by being who you are, and we can only strive to follow your example. I wish that I could have made it back to NY to properly pay my respects while remembering the wonderful life that you lived. My goodbye to you does not mean forever, it simply means that I'll miss you until we meet again someday. You will be greatly missed, always loved, and never forgotten. Keep smiling Jon..

I met you for the first time at the age of 7 and I knew by the way you talked and played with my daughter to keep her busy, she asked about you the rest of the week...
I can say you were as kind and gentle as your father, and I told you several times that I loved you like a brother and I meant it...

My Dearest Friend Myrna
The Bible tells us that Mary the mother of Jesus wept and that she "pondered" these things in her heart. Only a mother could know what those things were. A mother's heart seems to be most tender to her young. Jesus had a special place in his heart for mothers. He understands what mothers go through raising our children only to have to let them go to become all that God has planned for them. God promised never to leave us nor forsake us. A friend who sticketh closer than a brother. May you feel God's love and peace surrounding you and may you find HIS strength for every day to come. When you stop and ponder those things most precious to you about your son Jonathon may you know that God thought he was pretty wonderful to!

I played my last year of men's hockey with "Miller" and I'll never forget that. We had a blast causing trouble at away tournaments and games throughout that season. Even though I was a defenseman still and he was a forward I still had a great time playing with him, he was a very talented skater! My dad also thinks of that season of Pee Wee's fondly. For us to be able to remember him so clearly so many years later and so far away from the hockey world speaks very loudly about how much fun we had together and that even at the age of 12 he was still able to make a positive impact on those around him.

As I'm writing on here it seems as though it's for someone else, not my baby brother. The heartbreak I feel is so unbearable. One minute is extreme sadness and despair, the next anger and frustration. We don't know how to absorb all of this. I'm thankful we are not still sitting at the reservoir, everyday, staring at the water, holding our breath watching them search. As hard as it was to hear it confirmed, we were releived to be able to bring you home and give you the dignity and respect you deserved. When the sheriff hugged me he said "I'm sorry about your loss" I thought about it and said to him "I don't look at it as a loss today, today we GAINED because we got him back." I love you Jonathon.

My heart goes out to the family of Jonathon. What a tragedy to have lost such a wonderful young man at such a young age. I know Jacob met you upon your entrance into Heaven's Gates.
With time our hearts will be replaced with smiles of memories instead of tears of loss.
Godspeed to you as well Jonathan.
