Quinnie..(as we all called him) became one of my favorite people and a great friend when I lived in New York. I have often thought of him and the times we spent going to auto auctions and just sitting around his office talking about cars. This deeply saddens me to hear about Quennie passing on. You are all in my prayers at this time. I will always remember him as a good friend.

ALSO DRAG RACES AND RIDING IN THE CAR WHEN DOING A WARM-UP RUN.SITTING IN HIS GARAGE IN THE HOT EVENINGS WATCHING PEOPLE STROLLING BY.I NEVER SEEN SOMEONE WHO COULD MOW HIS LAWN SO FAST ON HIS RIDER MOWER. HE SURE WAS QUITE THE GUY FOR FAST CARS AND CLASSIC CARS.

My memories since i can even remeber of uncle Quentin are of those we spent every year on July 4th at his lake house when we would come visit from here in SC. I pray that GOD will comfort my cousins and family during this time of loss.

To my cousins
Gary, Shelly & your families,
Dave & I are so sorry for the loss of Uncle Quentin.
It was always such a pleasure to see & visit with him!
And, we sure enjoyed the picnics at the lake house!
I remember, he found for me, my first car. This was back in 1969. It was a 1962 Oldsmobile. Nice car! There is no doubt, Uncle Quentin certainly did know his cars! When I see a sharp looking classic car,I can't help but think of him!
Please know, our thoughts & prayers are with you.
With love, Nancy

Over ten years ago for the first time we shook hands, a friendship formed that has left me a much better person, I think that happened to anyone who was fortunate enough to be called your friend.
I can’t share the stories of a childhood together, the memories made at Boot Camp, or the hours spent pulling and rebuilding engines, though short in comparison the memories I have are worth a life time to me.
The look across my front lawn now yields an emptiness, a void in time, silence now covers the laughter
we once shared.
I will forever deeply treasure the times I was blessed enough to spend with you.
To the ones who called you friend, the childhood memory makers, the Boot Camp Battle Buddies.
I am so sorry for the loss you must suffer, I am empty in words or actions that can help heal your heart.
if Webster held the keys spoke to heal, I would speak them now, but life is such, and time goes on and years have a way of bringing out the wonderful memories that will never take away but one day over shadow the darkness you are now facing.
To the ones who call you Dad, and the many titles you hold to your family.
I know through experience being one who has lost both parents myself the pain and hardship
that comes along with this passing.
I am so deeply sorry for your tragic loss, and with this I understand the hollow sound of the word sorry, but this word is the only word we can say that contains our deepest Heart felt emotions, though shallow sounding now, I testify to it’s true compassion filled meaning to be felt years later as I am still finding out.
To all who had life’s great pleasure of knowing Quentin Lane, find healing in the Lord and hold onto the wonderful memories created during your walk here on earth with Quentin, your loss is great, and the pain I know is soul deep, but Greater and Deeper are those memories and the blessings that came through your time spent by his side.
Quentin Lane, I end this now not understanding how one man could make a place so strong in my Heart
In such a short time, your friendship I will forever cherish, the stories we shared and moments of endless
and perhaps useless chatter will forever hold deep in the vaults of my heart and memories, Quentin my friend, perhaps one day we will again shake hands, but till then, I will deeply miss you.
