Obituary of Donna Christine Solsbee

Donna Christine Solsbee, 69, of 166 Dunham Ave. Jamestown, NY passed away at 9:45 a.m. Thursday (June 21, 2012) in W.C.A. Hospital. A lifelong area resident she was born November 23, 1942 in Jamestown, NY a daughter of the late Alvin and Gertrude Pearson Morey. She was a 1960 graduate of Jamestown High School and had been employed by Falconer Metal Specialties for 17 years. She was a member of the Herman Kent Post 777 American Legion Auxiliary, the Chautauqua Lake Fish Club and the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club. She also loved to knit and spent many hours working on her knitting machine. Surviving are a son Steven J. (Sheila) Carlson, a daughter Kerrin (David) Carlson-Moffett both of Jamestown, three grandchildren Shelby Francis, John Carlson, Mallissa Carlson all of Jamestown, three step children Yvette Solsbee, Lynette Carr, Collette Keith all of Jamestown, several step grandchildren, a brother Richard Morey of SC and a sister Linda Hedman of ME. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Fred L. Solsbee who died February 24, 2007 and two sisters Phyllis Plisk and Barbara J. Morey. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Lind Funeral Home. Pastor Rick Huber will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery.
