Obituary of Betty L. Marsh

Betty L. Marsh, 68, of 212 Prospect Street, died Thursday June 28, 2012, in her home, surrounded by her loving family and friends. A native of Jamestown, she was born October 26, 1943, a daughter of the late Carl and V. Shirley Lindberg Lundsten. She was a graduate of Jamestown High School and was a communicant of Holy Apostles Parish, Ss Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening and cooking. For Betty everything was about family. Not only was she was extremely close to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, but also to her extended family and friends whom she always welcomed and made feel special in their own unique way. Surviving are her husband of fifty years, John W. Marsh, whom she married June 16, 1962, four children Lori Koehnlein of Windsor Locks, CT, John (Shawn) Marsh, Jr. of Vernon, CT, Becky L. Marsh of Jamestown and Jason (Robin) Marsh of Manchester, CT; 13 grandchildren John, Nicholas and Mathew Burton, Britany, Briana, Morgan and Jamie Marsh, Stephen Shurkus, Jason, Alissa and Mariah Marsh, Julia and Theresa Marsh; 2 great grandchildren Nicholas and Emma Burton; 2 brothers James (Dianne) Lundsten and Steven (Kim) Lundsten and two sisters Nancy Lundsten and Patty (Mike) Calimeri. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a son Shawn Marsh in 2010. The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the Lind Funeral Home. Rev. Dennis W. Mende will officiate. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Friends will be received from 1-4 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Betty Marsh Cancer Fund, c/o M&T Bank.
