Teen, Bud and Dave, I was so sad to hear about John. Teena, thanks for taking the time to call and let me know. I have many fond memories of John and all of you, growing up on Norton Av. All the neighborhood kids playing hide and seek, Spud, kickball, etc. The good old days! I think John was my first crush, I was about 5 at the time. One of my fondest childhood memories is running out the front door of my house yelling, "Mom, I'm going to the dirt pile!". You do remember the dirt pile, don't you? I still love playing in the dirt, when you see my house you'll understand. Take care and see you soon. Love, Anne

I worked with John at Cummins for many years enjoying our deep conversations & humor. We also sang in the Emmannuel Choir & I often requested that John sing my favorite song that he did "Mountain Railroad". John was a man of compassion, strength, devotion, a deep abiding love & a profound love for Jesus The Christ. I love and miss you my friend & Brother.

To the family of John Steed, John was a warm, friendly, patient and understanding soul. We will miss his smiling face at St. Susan's and in church. He always made my mother & myself so happy every time we saw him. He was truly a blessing in our lives simply by being himself. God called his name and he answered,he will be missed. RIP John, our dear friend.
