Obituary of Wilbur C. Madison

Wilbur C. Madison, 95, of Meadville, PA, died Monday 23, 2012, in his home. He was born September 30, 1916, in Corry, PA, a son of the late Martin and Minnie Rust Madison. Prior to his retirement he was employed by Erie-Lackawanna Railroad as a conductor of 32 years. Surviving are three children Mary Lou Madison of Indianapolis, IN, Carole Madison of Meadville and Peter Madison of Pickerington, OH; six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife the former Lillian Forsner, whom he married June 4, 1938 and who died June 30, 1990, a daughter Carol Madison; a brother Walter Madison and two sisters Marie Kaufman and Martha Purbus. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Rev. Rick LaDue will officiate. Friends will be received at noon Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home.
