Obituary of Donna Pihl

Donna L. Pihl, 79, of 516 S. Main Street, died Sunday July 29, 2012, in her home. She was born March 2, 1933, in Perham, MN, a daughter of the late John and Marian Schmidt Ahrens. Prior to her retirement she was employed by Marlin Rockwell Corporation as an office worker for over 30 years. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Frewsburg. She enjoyed following politics, her dog Chloe and was an election inspector. Surviving are a daughter Roxanne Parks of Phoenix, AZ; three grandchildren Krystal Parks of Phoenix, AZ, J. Corry Palmisano and Ryan Palmisano, both of Jamestown and two sisters Joyce Bachman and Pam Schwinghammer, both of Minnesota. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter Cheryl Palmisano in 2001. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Lind Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Road, Jamestown, NY 14701.
