Obituary of James R. Carr

James Russell Carr passed away at his home in Greenhurst, Saturday, August 3, 2012. He was born June 18, 1960 in Jamestown, the son of the late Wallace Russell "Curly" and Ina Carlson Carr. Jim was a 1977 graduate of Maple Grove High School and served in the United States Air Force for two years. He and Joe Klajbor co-owned a garden shop in Ocala, FL; a full line pet store in Apollo Beach, FL; a show kennel in Stockton, NY; and a pet store in Gowanda, NY. Surviving besides his mother of Omaha, NE are, a sister, Kathy (Dennis) Samuelson of Omaha, NE; a sister- in- law, Diane Millard Carr of Bowie, MD; a niece, Teresa Van Hout of Brocton, NY; three nephews, Eric Samuelson of Mechanicsburg, PA; Chris and Andy Carr of Bowie, MD; seven great nieces and nephews; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father in 2008; and his brother, David Carr in 2011. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
