Obituary of Edward A. Uber

Edward A. Uber, 62, of 6 Shirley Lane Jamestown, died Friday (August 24, 2012) in WCA Hospital. He was born March 15, 1950 in St. Mary's, PA the son of James O. "Pete" and Anna F. Allen Uber. Ed attended Jamestown Schools and served from 1969 until 1971 in the US Army. He worked at the former Falconer Plate Glass Co. from 1972 until the plant closed. Surviving besides his mother are, his wife, Elsie Huddleson Uber of Jamestown; six children, Kristy A. Uber (Wes) Pickard of Jamestown; Robert (Jolan) Uber of FL; Mary (Tom) Davis; Tina Uber, both of Jamestown; Scott (Tammy) Huddleson of Randolph; Greg Huddleson of Celoron; nine grandchildren, Brandon, Alyssa, Sara, Erika, Patrick, Tyler, Gregory, Jordyn, and Zachary; two sisters, Cindy Odom, Penny Uber both of FL; a brother, David Uber of FL; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father on February 5, 2011; and a brother, Robert W. Uber on August 14, 2012. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Lind Funeral Home. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
