Obituary of Noreen L. Bartok

Noreen Lynn Bartok, 68, of 123 Greenhurst Village Dr. Jamestown, passed away at 9:40 p.m. Saturday (October 20, 2012) in W.C.A. Hospital surrounded by her family and following a courageous battle with cancer. An area resident since 1978, she was born August 25, 1944 in Cleveland, Ohio a daughter of the late Melvin E. and Norma M. Holstein Roche. Before her retirement she was a teacher for the St. Mark's Lutheran Church Preschool in Mayville, NY for ten years. She will be remembered as a loving and caring mother and grandmother who enjoyed reading and doing cross stitch projects. Surviving are a daughter Tami L. Cucinotta of Mayville, NY, two sons James R. (Melissa) Bartok of Dewittville, NY, Michael J. (Cheri) Bartok of Bemus Point, NY, nine grandchildren Adam Winne, Christopher Winne both of Niagara Falls, NY, Joshua Bartok, Jordyn Cucinotta both of Mayville, Alex Bartok, Bethany Gonzalez, Madison Bartok all of Bemus Point, Meghan Bartok, Allison Bartok both of Dewittville, two brothers Raymond Roche of Toledo, OH, Philip Roche of Greenhurst, NY and a sister Linda White of Seven Hills, OH. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James J. Bartok whom she married May 22, 1962 and who died June 21, 1996 and her daughter Jamie D. Bartok who died September 30, 2008. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. At the request of the deceased, visitation will not be observed.
