Mary Ella was such a wonderful teacher and friend to me. She taught me so much about the importance of details at work. Then she taught me about daylillies and shared a beautiful yellow one with me. I shall think of her everytime I see it bloom.

Mary Ella was my aunt. I remember her as a quiet, and always listening person with an unending curiosity. She came to visit Philadelphia one year with my mother, Polly,so she could attend the Philadelphia Flower Show. I still remember how excited she was going through all the exhibits that were so familiar to me. It was so much fun seeing it all new through her eyes. Her description was that it was all "so grand". And little did she know that only recently she provided a key that finally unlocked a huge door to our Swedish ancestry through the Faust line. Just a casual remark about a small reunion brought about a link that has opened doors to information I have been seeking for over 10 years. She leaves us with a whole new history to discover and a memory of a gentle person who never stopped wanting to learn. It's sad to see the end to this generation, and a bit scary knowing we're the next generation to carry on the family history. She really was an inspinring and special lady. Always a lady.

I didn't know Mary Ellen well, as I joined the Waterways Knitting Guild just a few years ago. But her lovely smile and gentle way was obvious from the first time I sat near here. She will be sadly missed by all our members. My prayers for God's Peace go out to her family.

I met Mary Ella through PEO, but I didn't get to really know her since I'm not always at our meetings. BUT, it was easy to become a friend with MaryElla because of her friendly, smiling manner. I was looking forward to more time with her, but am happy her passing was peaceful and she can continue all those good works in Heaven.

To Debbie, Colleen,Vicki and the rest of the Faust family. Your mom was a very special women who touched many peoples hearts and lives. When I was younger riding Debbie's horse Tina I remember her coming home while we were out at the barn and she came home for lunch and of course Deb and I sat with her in the kitchen looking out into the woods and there was alittle squirrel she had befriended and she made sure he got something to eat to. She was always bringing home baked goods from the amish and we always had to try it. She will be greatly missed and loved. I thank god I got to know her and I'm so sorry for your loss but I take comfort in knowing that she is now with her husband Norm and may they rest in eternal peace. Till we meet again Mary.

We have known and been close friends with Mary Ella and Norm for over 50 years and would like to share our personal thoughts of her in the form of a heartfelt letter to her.
Farewell, Mary Ella:
So very strong and warm are the wonderful memories we have of you and Norman. And we know first hand how devoted you were to your children.
In the beginning you were there to hear their ¬borning cries; you gave them life, and then, you taught them how to live.
Your obituary is replete with proof that you have left them and the rest of us precious legacies and a wonderful example for all of us to follow.
There is a quote by Erma Bombeck that depicts your philosophy of life and your splendid life’s journey:
“When I stand before God at the end of my life,
I would hope that I would not have a single bit
of talent left and could say: "I used everything
you gave me Lord. I used everything you gave me!”
Mary Ella, you literally have used everything the Lord gave you, and more, because you were always there for your family, always there for the senior citizens you served, always there for your church, and always there for your friends.
You were a powerful example of the right way to approach life: above all, how to be your own person and how to be courageous through trying times.
Your loved ones, your co-workers and your friends feel a thousand times richer for having had you in our lives, but, God knows, we will miss you.
You are now like the wind; we cannot see you, but, we will always feel you.
Affectionately,
Mary and Joe Gerace

I Can Only Imagine would be a good song to listen to right now. Who are you looking at GG? How is my baby doing up there? Did you see my dad yet? Swirling questions overlap my emotions but I will try to focus and participate in life as you so often did. My love to you always and as I listen to Don't Worry Be Happy (Bobby McFerrin) and I'll Be Loving You Always (Frank Sinatra) it will remind me of the joy you felt during your time with us. You were not a human having a spiritual experience, you are a spirit that had a human experience. I'm glad we had our 'keepin it real' talks and shared so many hugs. As your granddaughter, I represent one of the physical manifestations of your and grandpa Norman's souls that is still here to help God find more family members for the body of Christ. One more day or visit with you would never be enough so I won't wish for that. We'll be together again and as I wait impatiently I will look for joy so the eventually the waiting for Heaven becomes easier. My heart broke when you departed but God will heal and restore my feelings. Love you forever!!
