Obituary of Janis Romaine Jungquist

Janis Romaine Peterson Jungquist, 88, of Brea, CA died December 18, 2012 following a long illness. She was married to F. David Jungquist in 1943, who proceeded her in death in 1994. They formerly resided at 149 Maple St, Jamestown before moving to California in 1970. They spent their summers at Penn Highland Campgrounds in Russell, PA. While residing in Jamestown, she was active in Thule Lodge and Rebecca's. When her children were young, she was a stay at home mom, like most women in her era. After her children were grown, she worked for Marlin Rockwell, Jamestown City Clerk's office and retired from Transamerica Insurance Co. in Los Angeles Her hobbies included sewing, knitting, crocheting, playing cards, spending time with friends and reading. She enjoyed a very busy and fruitful life. She is survived by her daughters, Charlene (Steve) O'Dell of Las Vegas, NV and Linda (Ron) Robillard of Brea, CA and her sons Bruce (Cindi) Jungquist of Aurora, OH and Russell (Debbie) Jungquist of Kingman, AZ. Besides her children, she is survived by 10 grandchildren, 29 great- grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday January 11, 2013 in the Lind Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
