Obituary of Charles M. Nold

Charles M. "Chuck", "Mick" Nold, 53, of 1600 Manchester Road Jamestown died Monday December 31, 2012 in his home. He was born January 18, 1959 in Jamestown the son of Donald and Nancy Larson Nold. Chuck was a 1977 graduate of Jamestown High School. He started working at the Post Journal in the Circulation Department and moved on to various management positions at newspapers in Upstate New York, Iowa, and Arizona. Chuck enjoyed life, was an avid sports fan, and loved animals, especially his cat Peanut. He enjoyed spending time with his daughter Abby, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is survived by his mother of Jamestown; a brother, Jon (April) Nold of Jamestown; a sister, Cindy (Andrew) Duca of Phoenix, AZ; a daughter, Abigail Matteson of Jamestown; his step father, Roland Gullberg of Jamestown; two nephews, Shawn (Laura) Nelson, and Ryan Nelson, both of Phoenix; two great nieces, Holly and Megan Nelson of Phoenix; and several Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. He was preceded in death by his father in 1992; his maternal grandparents, Clarence and Jane Larson; paternal grandparents, Frank and Stella Nold; and two cousins, Tina Hallett, and Christopher DeMarco. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
