Obituary of Margaret K. Ferguson
Margaret K. Ferguson, 98, formerly of 37 Columbia Avenue, West Ellicott, died Friday January 11, 2013, in the home of her daughter in West Ellicott.
She was born March 1, 1914, in Johnsonburg, PA, a daughter of the late John and Isabelle Gladis.
Following graduation from high school in Johnsonburg, she moved to Jamestown and graduated from Jamestown Business College.
She was a self employed home care provider for several years and was a longtime communicant of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
She was a devoted mother and grandmother who will be remembered as a good neighbor and friend willing to help whoever needed a hand. She loved gardening and was known for having an immaculate lawn and beautiful flower gardens.
Surviving are a daughter Susan Rohlin, with whom she made her home; 2 sons Donald and Richard Ferguson, both of Lakewood; 2 grandchildren Bryan Rohlin of Jacksonville, FL and Wendy Rohlin of West Ellicott and three great grandchildren Debi, Kevin and Patrick Rohlin, several nieces, a nephew and a dear friend Evelyn Hilldale.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Donald Ferguson, December 24, 1964, 5 sisters and 3 brothers.
The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Lind Funeral Home. Msgr. Joseph M. Dowdell will officiate.
Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 2-5 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
