Obituary of Jack Allette
Jack Allette, 69, of 959 Forest Avenue, died Wednesday January 30, 2013, in his home.
A lifelong Jamestown resident, he was born October 22, 1943, a son of the late Jasper and Mary Saldi Allette.
For the last 31 years, he has been a resident at the Resource Center's Forest Avenue group home and participated in their workshop and day activity programs.
He was a communicant of St James Roman Catholic Church. He volunteered for Meals On Wheels, was an avid Buffalo Bills fan and wrestling enthusiast.
Surviving are his brothers Joseph Allette of Pennsylvania, Michael (Eleanor) Allette of Florida, sisters Verna (Louis) Davis of Florida; nephews Philip (Lois) Tumminia of Florida, Dennis (Shirley) Tumminia of Michigan, Joseph (Terry) Allette of Texas, Michael C. Allette, Gary (Sally) Allette, Douglas Cook, Anthony (Lynn) Garifi of Florida, James (Debbie) Garifi of California, Michael T. Allette of Tennessee; nieces Donna (Paul) Flagg of Florida, Marie (Lenard) Greco of Buffalo, Pamela (James) Olson of Jamestown, Shelley Allette of Florida, Mary (Gerald) Mattern of Brockport, Jenny (Brian) Rigsby of Arkansas, Sara (Michael) Catlett of Florida and Terri Cuoco; great nephews and nieces Nikky (Flagg) McKay, Jason Cuoco, Andrew Tumminia, Peter Tumminia, Maria (Tumminia) Natiello, Patricia Tumminia, Jennifer (Tumminia) Ellis, Joey Allette, David Allette, Nicole (Allette) Cady, Brittany Allette, Michael Allette, Anthony Greco, Rena Greco, Andria Garifi, Renee Garifi, Nicholas Garifi, Katlyn Garifi, Kevin Garifi, Karli Olson, Joanna Olson, Jimmy Olson, Ben Mattern, Jillian (Mattern) Reitano, Ryan Mattern, Caleb Rigsby, Alexa Rigsby, Ella Catlett and Jack Catlett.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters Jenny (Angelo) Cuoco, Josephine (Philip) Tumminia, Nina (DeForest) Cook; brother Charles (Jenny) Allette, sister-in-law Eddie Lee and nephew Ross Cuoco.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. James Roman Catholic Church. Rev. John Kuhlmann will be celebrant.
Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home. A Christian Wake Service will be led at 5:45 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
