Obituary of Thomas M. Sherbine

Thomas M. Sherbine Sr., 67, of 110 Pennsylvania Ave. Jamestown, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday January 30, 2013 at WCA Hospital. He was born February 15, 1945 in Oil City, PA the son of the late Jim and Mary Sherbine. Tom was a veteran of the US Army for over 8 years, serving in Vietnam. For many years, he worked at Sanitary Wiping Cloth as a truck driver. He was a former member of the War Vets and the Ira Lou Spring Post 149 American Legion. Tom loved Bingo, playing slots, and lottery tickets. He will be sadly missed by his best friend, his dog Ruthie. Surviving are his wife, Karen Eck Sherbine; a daughter, Brenda (Jeff) Moran of Jamestown; Thomas M. (Kim) Sherbine Jr. of Ashville; Jeffrey (Colleen) Sherbine of Falconer; Robert Sherbine of Jamestown; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; three brothers, Mike, Jim Joe, and Gene Sherbine; and a sister, Cathy Sherbine. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael Sherbine; two brothers, Dan and Dave Sherbine; and a sister, Dottie Fitzgerald. A Memorial Service will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday February 2, 2013 in the Lind Funeral Home. Deacon Michael Lennon of St. James Catholic Church will officiate. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday (prior to the service) in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
