Obituary of Nancy D. Johnson

Nancy D. Johnson, 72, of 3347 Anderson Road Busti, passed away peacefully, Thursday January 31, 2013 in her home surrounded by her family. She was born December 24, 1940 in Jamestown the daughter of the late Lawrence and Lauretta Anderson Pike. Nancy was an avid Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres fan. She also enjoyed watching dirt track racing, seldom missing a race at Stateline Speedway. Nancy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. She always put others before herself. Surviving are her husband of 44 years, Michael D. Johnson; a daughter, Laurie Decker (Steve Beck) of Lander, PA; three sons, Jeff Morrison (Dena) of Allen, TX; Steve Johnson; Greg (Dawn) Johnson, both of Busti; seven grandchildren, Jason (Tammy), Shannon, Wyatt, Zach, Levi, Halley, and Austin; three great grandchildren, Branden, Lexi, and Nick; a brother, Tom Pike (Candy) of Celoron; nephews Mike Pike and Kary Pike; and her lifelong friend, Marcia White. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday in the Lind Funeral Home. Rev. Cathy Smith, Hospice Chaplain will officiate. Burial will be in Busti Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday and for one hour prior to the service Monday in the funeral home.
