Obituary of Charles R. Frank

Charles R. Frank, 75, of Jamestown, died Monday (February 11, 2013) in his home. He was born July 14, 1937 in Jamestown the son of the late Raymond and LauraBelle Whitman Frank. Charles was a 1956 graduate of Southwestern Central School and was a member of the Army National Guard from January 11, 1955 until January 10, 1958. For 43 years, he was employed at Marlin Rockwell Corp in both the Falconer and Jamestown Plants, retiring in 1999. He was a member of the Lakewood Rod and Gun Club; Lakewood Memorial Post 1286 American Legion; a life member of Chautauqua Lake Fishing Association; War Vets Recreation where he was a member of the Tuesday night pinochle league; and a retired member of UAW Local 338. Surviving are his wife Linda L. Carlson Frank with whom he celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary December 22, 2012; three children, Mark (Mary) Frank of Ashville; Kelly (Jeff) Kroon of Jamestown; David (Jodey Johnson) Frank of Sinclairville; six grandchildren; Mark (Brenda) Frank II of Bradford, PA; Jason (Michelle) Frank of Clymer, NY; John (Jordan Copeland) Kroon of Edmond, OK; Krista Kroon of Buffalo; Racquel Frank, David Frank; three great grandchildren; and two sisters, Betty (Wallace) Carlson of Zephyrhills, FL and Frewsburg, NY; and Carol (Richard) Tucker of Honeoye, NY; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Brandon Frank; and a brother, James Frank. At his request, there will be no visitation or service.
