Obituary of Armenta M. Larson

Armenta Mae Larson, 84, of 43 Brookside Estates, died February 8, 2013, in the Lutheran Home and Rehabilitation Center. She was born November 11, 1928, on the Fancher Farm, Leon, NY, a daughter of the late Garrett Green and Lena Colburn Green Nelson. She attended school in a one room schoolhouse in Gerry and also Cassadaga Valley Central School. She was employed by Weber-Knapp for 32 years. Her nickname at work was "Rusty." An avid reader, she enjoyed knitting, listening to music and watching westerns. She was known for her homemade fruit cakes which she made for many people. Surviving are a daughter Melissa Reichard of California; a sister Musette Clark of Jamestown; a brother Garrett Green of California; nieces Wendella Barry of Jamestown and Jeannee Koterass of Jamestown; nephews William Marsh of Jamestown and Dennis Marsh of Bloomingburg, NY as well as several great nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by 2 infant sisters; her first husband Harlan Reichard; her second husband Stewart Larson and a niece Michaele Peters. No funeral service or visitation will be observed.
