Obituary of Dolores Trampe

Dolores Trampe, 94, formally of 115 Ellis Avenue, Jamestown, NY and Gale Road, Camp Hill, PA died peacefully at her residence at Homeland Center in Harrisburg, PA on Sunday, February 17, 2013. Dolores was born April 18, 1918 in Perrysburg, NY, the daughter of the late Herman E. Fisher and Helen Voght Fisher. She was a 1936 graduate of Jamestown High School Dolores was a long time employee of Sears, Roebuck and Co. and was the Catalog Department Manager from January 1966 until her retirement in 1981. While living in Jamestown she was a member of the Holy Apostle Parish, SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church. In her earlier years, Dolores volunteered as a room mother at M.J. Fletcher School, Girl Scout Brownie Leader, and served as Fletcher's PTA president for several years. She also served as a "Gray Lady" at the WCA Hospital and as an Election Inspector for the Chautauqua County Board of Elections. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah (W. Peter) Wickwire and grandson, Eric J. Wickwire of Camp Hill, PA; her sister, JoAnn Smith of Jamestown NY; her brother, Douglas A. (Betty) Fisher of Rockford, IL; her niece, Terry Smith, grandnephew, Jonathan Healy and grandniece, Kaitlin Healy, all of Jamestown; and a nephew, Brian Fisher of Libertyville, IL Dolores was preceded in death by her loving husband Henry J. Trampe, whom she married August 28, 1941 in SS. Peter and Paul Church and who died April 1, 2000; a daughter, Kathleen Ann Trampe who died in 1955 at the age of 9; a brother, Donald H. Fisher and a nephew, James Fisher. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday in Holy Apostles Parish, SS. Peter and Paul Church. The Rev. Dennis W. Mende will be celebrant. Burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends will be received by the family from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home, where a Christian Wake Service will be led at 5:45 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Homeland Center, 1901 North Fifth Street, Harrisburg, PA 17102-1598; or to Holy Apostles Parish, SS.
