Obituary of Jennie L. Sharp

Jennie L. Sharp, 83, of Chautauqua Colony, 2109 Southwestern Drive, Lakewood, died unexpectedly Monday, February 18, 2013 at UPMC Hamot in Erie. She was born August 20, 1929 in Scandia, Pa., one of six children of the late Elmer and Esther Johnson Sandell. She was a retired employee of Allied Signal in Orangeburg, SC. Jennie was married to Frank Pischera from 1948 to 1966 and is survived by their five children, Saralee (Michael) Buck of Lincoln, CA, Judy (Jim) Slevin of Nottingham, MD, Angela McIntyre of Jamestown, Kelley (Jim) Timmons of West Lafayette, IN, and Sebastian (MaryEllen) Pischera of New Smyrna Beach, FL. Also surviving are two step-daughters, Debbie Rawl of Youngsville, PA and Donna Hubbard of Oceanside, CA. Jennie was the loving grandmother of several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and is survived by a number of nieces and nephews as well. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her second husband, Donald Sharp; a brother, Peter Sandell; and four sisters, Doris Johnson, Velma Carlson, Sandy Martin and Viola Sandell. The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the funeral home Saturday.
