Obituary of Leona C. Rose
Leona C. Rose, 92, of 43 Clay Street, North East, PA, formerly of Jamestown, died Wednesday February 20, 2013 in Ball Pavilion, Erie.
She was born April 17, 1920, in Westfield, a daughter of the late Willis and Diantha Rounds Alabaugh.
For many years she lived in Texas, working in the Lake Worth Nursing Home.
She was a member of Halgren-Wilcox American Legion Post Auxiliary, Sugar Grove.
She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.
Surviving are 7 children Diane Patterson, with whom she made her home, Starlene Rose of Jamestown, Joseph Wrobelski of Hydetown, PA, Donald Rose of Youngsville, PA, David Rose of Spartansburg, PA, Paul Rose of Erie and Steven Rose of Ohio; 36 grandchildren including Frank, Kenny, Stewart and Chad Patterson, Becky Peck, Tina Jackson, Laura Paulisick, Tammy Waite, Donnie Rose, Jr, Kelly, Michelle, Heather, Autum and Holly Rose and several great grandchildren.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Floyd Donald Rose who died in 1978; 2 sons Ronald Rose and Robert Wrobelski and four brothers Ralph, Fred, Grover and Henry Snyder.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. Rev. Roy Ferguson will officiate.
Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service in the funeral home Saturday.
