Obituary of Leon C. Wilson

Leon C. Wilson, Jr., 75, of 118 Holbrook Street, died Wednesday February 20, 2013, in WCA Hospital. He was born January 6, 1938, in Niobe, a son of the late Leon C. Wilson, Sr. and Lillian Smith Wilson Gustafson. He was a 1956 graduate of Jamestown High School and served in the US Naval Reserve for 21 years. Prior to his retirement in 2000, he was employed by Dowcraft in the layout department. He had earlier worked for Dahlstroms. He was a member of Chautauqua County Genealogy Scoiety and 2 different coin clubs. Surviving are three children Leon D. (Kimberly) Wilson, Kathleen (Anthony) Conti and Michael Shawn (Lucinda) Wilson, all of Jamestown; 9 grandchildren Michelle A. Weltikol, Daniel F.F. Wilson, Gregory O. Wilson, George W. Stroebel, Michael A. Conti, LeeAnn Conti, Kylie Elizabeth Wilson, Camryn Alexis Wilson and Patrick Michael Wilson; 3 great grandchildren Trevor S.Weltikol, Zoe L. Weltikol and Cecelia A. Wilson and his former wife Cecile Wilson of Jamestown. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a stepfather Ernest Gustafson. The funeral will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday in the Lind Funeral Home. Rev. Gerald A. Haglund will officiate. Inurnment will be in Panama Union Cemetery.
