Obituary of Paul E. Fetters
Paul E. Fetters, 87, of 607 West Seventh St. Jamestown, was called to be reunited with his wife at 4:42 a.m. Sunday (February 24, 1013) in the Heritage Green Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility.
An area resident since 1954, he was one of eleven children. He was born June 7, 1925 in Greensburg, PA a son of the late William H. and Sarah Hemminger Fetter.
In earlier years he was employed by the former Inter Royal Company and the Automatic Voting Machine Company.
He will be deeply missed by his family and his "tap rum" card playing buddies Red, Dale and John and has now joined his buddies Ralph, Baldy and Ted playing cards in heaven. He was also a member of the Chautauqua Lake Fishing Association.
Surviving are a son Paul E. (Maleia) Fetters, Jr., a daughter Linda (John) Carney both of Jamestown, eight grandchildren Rick Adams, Jr., Kevin Adams, Keith (Nadine) Adams all of Jamestown, Hope Fetters of Dallas, TX, Heidi Way of Erie, PA, Vicki Poole, Tammy Bullock, James Cramer all of St. Petersburg, FL, seven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years the former Etta Wallace Fetters whom he married July 17, 1943 and who died September 19, 2010, a daughter Virginia Olson, three infant children Martha, Sarah, Daniel Fetters and by his seven brothers and three sisters.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed.
Burial will be in the Lake View Cemetery.
