Obituary of James A. Farnsworth

James A. Farnsworth, 48, of 33 Linden Ave Jamestown, died Monday February 25, 2013 in Buffalo General Hospital surrounded by his family at his bedside. He was born September 5, 1964 in Jamestown the son of the late Robert and Alene Hallowell Farnsworth Sr. James enjoyed watching football, wrestling, western movies, playing on the computer, listening to country music, and tinkering with appliances. He was an avid NASCAR fan of Dale Jr #88, and loved his little dog, Bear. His favorite times were those spent with his grandchildren. He is survived by his companion of 18 years, Marie Reed; two daughters, Diane (Jason) McNeely; Debra (Brian) Miller, both of Jamestown; a son, James (Ann) Leonard of Sinclairville; several grandchildren; three brothers, Patrick Duckett of Waterford, PA; Thomas Duckett, Robert (Patty) Farnsworth Jr, both of Jamestown; two sisters, Judy Rogers of Ellington; April Troutman of Jamestown; several step brothers and step sisters; and several favorite nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Norman Farnsworth, and Eric Mitchell. The funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday March 6, 2013 in the Lind Funeral Home. Pastor Robert Johnson will officiate. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service Wednesday in the funeral home.
