Obituary of Dawn C. Carlson

Dawn C. Carlson, 78, of 303 W. 5th Street, died Wednesday March 20, 2013, in WCA Hospital. A Jamestown native, she was born February 7, 1935, the daughter of Oscar Anderson and Velda Schilling. She was a 1953 graduate of Jamestown High School. For over 20 years she was employed by Jamestown Public Schools as a teacher's aide at Euclid Elementary and Washington Junior High School. She was a member of the Vikings and while in high school, belonged to Lambda Chi Sorority. She will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. The family would like to thank the staff of WCA Hospital's ICU and Rev. Daniel Nagle of First Lutheran Church for their special care during this time. Surviving are her husband David Carlson, whom she married October 31, 1953; three children Dianne (John) Kervin of Falconer, Daniel (Barbara) Carlson of Dripping Springs, TX and Douglas (Dana) Carlson of Flowery Branch, GA; 6 grandchildren Amanda (Michael) Laurin of Jamestown, David (Veronica) Carlson and Leanne Carlson of Austin, TX, Sara Carlson of Jamestown, Matthew Carlson of New York City and Laura Carlson of Flowery Branch, GA and 2 great grandchildren Andrew and Nathaniel Laurin of Jamestown. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
