Obituary of Janette Hanley

Janette (Florence) Hanley, 77, of 71 Durant Avenue, died Thursday March 21, 2013, in WCA Hospital. She was born May 10, 1935, in Dubois, PA, a daughter of the late Frank and Dorothy Logan Robbins. She was a graduate of Lafayette High School, Buffalo. She was a member of Fluvanna Community Church, as well as Stockton Community Church. Known as a computer grandma, she enjoyed technology and genealogy, combining the two to construct and maintain the family tree. Surviving are her husband Thomas M. Hanley, whom she married December 15, 1955; 4 sons Thomas M. (Susan) Hanley, Jr. of Ripley, Mark S. (Eva) Hanley of Wilmington, NC and Matthew W. (Julia) Hanley and David C. Hanley both of Jamestown; 7 grandchildren Alek, Ian, Rachel, Daniel, Mindy, Joshua Tarr and Shara Post; 4 great grandchildren; a brother Frank Robbins of Dubois, PA; a sister Judith Robbins of Dubois, PA and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by 2 sisters Joan LaMastra and Jane Abbarno. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed.
