Obituary of Doris M. Chapman

Doris M. Chapman, 92, of the Frewsburg Rest Home, formerly of Lottsville, PA and Beeville, TX, died Saturday 23, 2013, in Heritage Green Rehab and Skilled Nursing. A Jamestown native, she was born December 3, 1920, a daughter of the late Harry and Amy Carlson Mosher. She was a 1942 graduate of Jamestown High School. Prior to her retirement in 1973, she was employed for 27 years by Dahlstrom Manufacturing Company in the purchasing office. For many years she and her husband enjoyed raising quarter horses. Surviving is a sister Lois Grout of Portville, NY. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles F. Chapman, whom she married May 31, 1948 and who died September 1, 2009. The funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday in the Lind Funeral Home. Rev. Gerald A. Haglund will officiate. Burial will be in Grant Cemetery, Niobe. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service Tuesday in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Road, Jamestown, NY 14701.
