Dear Kathy, Roger and families, So many memories come flooding back. I think of your father/grandfather's graciousness each week as I drive down Southwestern Drive, and remember with gratitude your mother's and his kindness to my late brother. I hope he (and you) found ease in his latter years and pray much peace to you all now. With loving thoughts, Virginia Alexander Richardson

My parents, Cliff and Rachel (Vanderkooi) Reardon, speak often and fondly of "Coach Erb". He was dad's football, basketball and volleyball coach- in fact, during the 50's at PCS, he seemed to be the only coach! He is a great example of the well-rounded educator. I'm sure he spent many hours working with students and athletes after the day was "officially" finished. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. May your many memories comfort you during this time.

Gene was always a very polite man. He would always ask about my grandchildren and what they were doing. He also asked about my children and my husband. (he had Earl in 8th grade) I missed seeing him after he moved and look forward to seeing him again in Heaven someday.

I have missed having him at Panama Baptist Church. He was a wonderful man who always engaged me and my children. Young kids rarely take an interest in the "older" people at church, but my kids know who Mr. Erb was. He always spoke to them and asked about pertinent things going on in their lives. And, when he pulled into the church parking lot with his new Ford Mustang, he was their hero! A terrific man - sorry he's gone, but what a wonderful life he had. I did not know him at the time of this photo, what a hunk! Rest in peace.
