Obituary of Marilyn J. Simko

Marilyn J. Simko, 83, of 3270 West Oak Hill Road, died Saturday March 23, 2013, in her home. She was born May 17, 1929, in Jamestown, the daughter of the late Albin and Twyla Kahle Anderson. She was part of the last graduating class from Celoron High School in 1947. Prior to her retirement she was employed by H&H Metal Specialties as office manager. She was a longtime active member of Kidder Memorial United Methodist Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher and on numerous committees. Surviving are her husband Eugene Simko, whom she married October 25, 1952; 3 children Cheryl (Robert) Stoddard of Henrietta, NY, Teresa Gustafson of Jamestown and John Simko of Stow, NY; 7 grandchildren Nathan (Joy) Stoddard of Orchard Park, NY, Joseph Gustafson of Jamestown, Angela Gustafson of Bemus Point, Rhett Simko of Jamestown, Grant Simko of Charleston, SC Kali Simko of Lakewood and Lanni Simko of Jamestown and 2 great grandchildren Elijah Stoddard of Orchard Park and Darius Jones of Bemus Point. She was preceded in death by a grandson Benjamin Stoddard and a brother Edgar Larue Anderson. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Lind Funeral Home. Rev. Rick LaDue will officiate. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
