Obituary of William H. Bartlett
William H. "Bill" Bartlett, 59 of 1293 Blockville-Watts Flats Road Ashville, died unexpectedly Monday March 25, 2013 in his home.
He was born July 17, 1953 in Gowanda, NY the son of Albert R. and June Culver Bartlett.
Bill was a graduate of Alfred State College and was employed by Perry Construction. Earlier, he worked at Agway, Remco in Warren, and owned and operated Bill's Building and Remodeling. He was a member of the Carpenters Union Local 276; Trinity United Methodist Church in Frewsburg; and was a past member of the Perrysburg Volunteer Fire Department. Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, NASCAR, tending to his vegetable garden, wood working, and building. He was a true master craftsman whose family was most important.
Surviving besides his father of Jamestown are his wife, Ann Scott Bartlett whom he married October 29, 1976; a daughter, Wendy (Kevin) Strickland; a son, John (Penny) Pritchard; three grandchildren, Renee Strickland, Jermin (Vicki) Strickland, and Amanda Strickland; two great grandchildren; and his sister, Judy (Dwane) Comstock.
He was preceded in death by his mother in 2012.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home.
The Rev. Kenneth Hodgins and the Rev. Cameron Lienhart will officiate.
Burial will be in Blockville Union Cemetery.
