Warren has been such a bright spot in ALL our lives. He always enjoyed being with our BIG family and joining in on all the fun - he LOVED surprising Jackie! The best time I ever had with Warren was planning Jackie's party. He was like a kid filled with excietment.
Warren was also blessed with 2 wonderful daughters and the most wonderful grandchildren I have met. He was truly a man that loved bieng with family and enjoyed life.
I know Warren is smiling down at us all right now. Love you Warren.

Warren was a brilliant, kind and good man, one of the best I ever met. Yet he was so modest I didn't know half his accomplishments. I hope all of those he cared for will find comfort and peace in the days ahead.

Dear Jackie and Family:
Knowing how much Warren has done for our music world, his church, our rowing club, Habitat for Humanity, his flying clubs, I think the words of Adlai Stevenson, in his eulogy for a friend seems so appropriate:
"I think it will always be April in our memory of him. It will always be a bright, fresh day, full of the infinite vanity and the promise of new life. Perhaps noting has gone at all. Perhaps only the embodiment of the thing tender, precious to us all - a friendship that is immortal and doesn't pass along. It will always be revived for me as I know for each of you each spring".
You folks know better than any of the rest of us what a rock Warren was for all of us. In his special positive and uplifting way, he touched the lives of thousands of people he met in his all too short 72 years. I know he touched mine. To Warren I would like to say:
Farewell noble knight – we shall miss you,
Life will not be the same without you,
You treated me and everyone with great respect.
You were a man of principle,
You were a man of God,
Farewell gentle knight – until we meet again.”
Mary and I send our warmest, deepest thoughts.

He was Uncle Warren to me. As a kid growing up, I lived in Germany and saw Warren only every two years for few days at a time. But during those days, I'd get to sail on the lake in his boat. Some of the coolest kid memories I have. I kinda saw him as a hero over the years though it was really limited to such a small window view. However, that is okay at this point.
I remember his reserved laugh and the way he'd talk with thin lips that seemed to work as little as they needed to to get the words out.
To the family, I am sorry for your loss. May you draw nearer to The Lord during this time.
