Obituary of Wesley J. Riley

Wesley J. Riley, Sr, 54, of 711 Cherry Street, died Tuesday April 2, 2013, in WCA Hospital. A native of Jamestown, he was born May 15, 1958, a son of the late Lester and Helen Hodge Riley. He worked as a farmhand for many years. A cowboy at heart, he deeply loved his family, friends and animals. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He enjoyed spending time with his brother Doug. Surviving are his wife the former Robin Newbree; six children Leslie (John) Berg, Wesley Riley, Jr, Nicholas Riley and Codey Riley all of Jamestown, Jamie Riley of Franklin, IN and Donald (Kayla) Riley of Frewsburg; 15 grandchildren; a brother Douglas (Brenda) Riley of Jamestown and 2 sisters Cathy Bryant of Jamestown and Linda Riley of Michigan. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by 2 brothers Patrick Riley and Jessie Reeves. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home. Rev. Melvin R. McGinnis will officiate. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service Friday in the funeral home.
