Obituary of Jean D. Russo

Jean DeLong Russo, 73, of 3307 Kumquat Dr. Edgewater, FL passed away Friday (March 29, 2013) in the Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center, Daytona Beach, FL. She was born March 26, 1940 in Brisbin, PA a daughter of the late Clair and Beatrice Wallen DeLong. While living in the Jamestown area she had worked for Vac Air Alloys and the South and Center Chautauqua Lake Sewer District. Surviving are her husband John Russo of Edgewater, FL. a son Mark S. (Jeni) Gage of Frewsburg, NY, a daughter Rhonda (Allan) Merkle of Warren, PA, two grandsons, Jason (Sabrina) Anderson of Jamestown, NY, Joshua Lindstrom of Clearwater, FL, four great grandchildren, five step-children, several step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren, a sister Shirley Vogle Hoyt of Jameswtown, a brother Alton "Al" DeLong of Jamestown and her former husband Martin R. Gage of Frewsburg. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her twin sister Joan DeLong. The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 8, 2013, in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Douglas Knopp, retired pastor of Christ First United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Lake View Cemetery. Friends will be received from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, April 7, 2013, in the funeral home.
