Obituary of Zigrida Nelson

Zigrida "Sue" Nelson, 72, of 303 West Fifth St. passed away unexpectedly at 5:40 p.m. Thursday (April 11, 2013) in her home. An area resident for most of her life she was born September 25, 1940 in Reiga, Latvia a daughter of the late Albert T. and Stefanija Malina Heinrichs. She came to the United States with her parents when she was 11 years old. In previous years she had been employed by several area restaurants including Stravato's Grill, Chadakoin Restaurant, West Side Cafe and Dugan's Tavern. Surviving are three children Faron Young (Hope VanGuilder), James (Carrie) Smith, Susan Lincoln all of Jamestown, NY, six grandchildren Bradley Lincoln, Robert Lincoln both of Bemus Point, NY, Amanda Smith of Jamestown, Shawn Bowers of Cattaraugus, NY, Ashley Miller of Sinclairville, NY and Nickolas Kunsman of Jamestown and two great grandchildren Aryanna and Kevin. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ronald M. Nelson whom she married July 7, 1979 and who died December 3, 1984, a son Richard A. Trace who died December 28, 1993, a brother Modris Heinrichs and two sisters Lonija "Lonnie" Heinrichs and Lilli Heinrichs. The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Donald E. Ray, retired chaplain of W.C.A. Hospital will officiate. Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service on Monday in the funeral home.
